The best part of waking up is knowing you'll see or hear something stupid the minute you open your eyes...

Two protestors from the Italian climate activism organization Ultima Generazione glued themselves to a sculpture held in the Vatican Thursday, according to a press release by the organization.
At approximately 10:30 am, two protestors - a sorta cute 26-year-old babe referred to only as Laura and an unnamed older man - along with several reporters, entered the Vatican Museums where the activists glued themselves to the base of the sculpture, Laocoön and His Sons. Shortly after entering, that section of the museum was evacuated and the two activists stripped of their phones, which the release cited as concerning because video documentation is often used to ensure protests proceed without undue abuses.

'Laura,' according to the release,  recently graduated with a Master’s degree in Art History and said that she was prompted to protest because she felt her future, both personally and professionally, had been robbed by government officials who have continued to ignore the climate crisis. She explained that the statue she and the other activist chose spoke to this reality.

This is a new sport for these jackwagon idiots - gluing themselves to shit for who knows what the fuck reasons.
Ya gotta admit, between gluing themselves to shit and yesterday's cement shoes story (if you missed it, scroll down below this post - you'll find it) these people are proving over and over that the shit they think is so important is actually as stupid as they are, but hey - who am I to say what is and isn't friggin' whacky, right?

Some scholastic dude lost his lunch over this one...

The University of Michigan in Ann Arbor said on Wednesday that a document that it believed was authored by Italian astronomer and physicist Galileo Galilei in the 17th century is in fact a 20th-century forgery.
The school said that it had begun investigating the manuscript earlier this year after Nick Wilding, a scholar working on a biography of Galileo, tipped them off. Wilding told a curator at the University of Michigan Library that he believed the faux document was the work of Tobia Nicotra, who, according to a 1934 TIME report, had also forged signatures by Christopher Columbus, Warren G. Harding, Lorenzo de’ Medici, and others, and received a two-year jail sentence for it.
The school said it had obtained the Galileo manuscript in 1938, after the death of Tracy McGregor, a Detroit books collector. McGregor had bought it at an auction where it was sold alongside two other Galileo documents. Those papers have been revealed to be Nicotra forgeries as well, however, and there is no record of where the alleged Galileo manuscript resided prior to 1930, according to the university.
Although the document is now firmly believed to be a fake, the university’s library said it still had value. “In the future, it may come to serve the research, learning, and teaching interests in the arena of fakes, forgeries, and hoaxes, a timeless discipline that’s never been more relevant,” Lynn Raughley, an editor at the University of Michigan, said in a statement.

'Okay, so it wasn't our fault, and we have an unlimited ability to spend other people's money, so here's a big pile of cash for all of you. Sorry your father's dead, but fuck you - take the money and shut the fuck up already.'

Voters in California would prefer their governor, Gavin Newsom (D), in the 2024 Democratic presidential primary over Vice President Harris, according to a poll from the UC Berkeley Institute of Governmental Studies released on Friday.
The poll, which was co-sponsored by the Los Angeles Times, found that 25 percent of surveyed voters eligible to participate in the state’s Democratic primary consider Newsom their first or second choice if President Biden does not run for reelection. Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) and Harris, who served as a senator from California before becoming vice president, come in second with 18 percent each.
Newsom is tied with Sanders for voters’ first-choice preference, at 13 percent each, followed by Harris at 10 percent.
The poll shows that about 6 out of 10 voters surveyed do not want Biden to run for reelection, with 46 percent of Democrats and 65 percent of non-partisans opposing it.

Democrat Matt Castelli, a former CIA Agent running for Congress in New York, allegedly drank alcohol on the clock and had sex with multiple colleagues in a White House office during his tenure on the National Security Council.
Castelli served as the director of the National Security Council’s counterterrorism division under former President Barack Obama and stayed on for the first year of former President Donald Trump’s administration before launching his campaign to unseat Republican Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY).

President Biden plans to host a summit in mid-September focused on stamping out the effects of hate-fueled violence in the United States in furtherance of his campaign pledge to unify the country.

Did you expect me to make some kind of snide comment on that?

They can't help themselves - they're hacks and they know it but they just don't know how to damp it down even just a little bit.

CNN on Friday published an article trumpeting the fall in gas prices from a month ago, and described it as a pay rise. 'Next time you stop at a gas station, think of it as a $100-a-month tax cut. Or a maybe $100-a-month raise,' wrote Chris Isidore, a senior writer for CNN Business.
Critics pointed out it was still significantly higher than a year ago. Congressman Kelly Armstrong of North Dakota said: 'Gas was $2.39 a gallon when @POTUS took office. It is $3.92 now. Next on @CNN, arsonist gets medal for helping fight fire he started.
'CNN just makes it so easy for its critics. This is some next level gaslighting,' said Brian Riedl, an economist at the Manhattan Institute, a conservative think tank. Immigration lawyer Matthew Kolken pointed out: 'The average price of gas in New York is still twice as much as it was under Trump.' Robby Starbuck, a Tennessee former candidate for election to the House in November, said the CNN article was 'shameless propaganda'.

  1. You want to glue yourself to something ? Fine . Stay glued . No filming , no publicity - and no food or water , either . Sooner or later they'll decide to lose some skin tearing themselves off .
