Sen. Elizabeth Warren - a monetary genius if ever there was one - said on Sunday that she was "very worried that the Federal Reserve was going to tip the nation’s economy into recession and that interest rate hikes would put people out of work. Do you know what’s worse than high prices and a strong economy? It’s high prices and millions of people out of work. I am very worried that the Fed is going to tip this economy into recession," Warren told CNN on Sunday.
She is evidently unaware that we are already in a recession - her degree in Economics would have taught her that two quarters of negative growth is the absolute definition of a recession.
The U.S. central bank’s chief, Jerome Powell, warned on Friday that Americans were headed for a painful period of slow economic growth and possibly rising joblessness as the Federal Reserve raises interest rates to fight high inflation.
Powell said in a speech on Friday the Fed will raise rates as high as needed, and would keep them there “for some time” to bring down inflation that is running at more than three times the Fed’s 2% goal.
What the idiot Ms. 'American Indian' doesn't understand is that this inflation was caused by the profligate spending she supported, and that raising interest rates is the only weapon the Fed has against the inflation she helped create. Knucklehead.

ReplyDeleteThis person has no clue to how business and the economy works. We are already in a Recession. I am an Electrical Engineer but as a Manager had to take Management courses that included Micro and Macroeconomics among other courses that taught me about finance. I would think this person would have learned by now in the Senate and in College about finance and the economy. The people in Massachussets are stupid to keep electing her.
