Once upon a time, there was such a thing as right and wrong.

The difference between men's earrings and politics? With the earring, if it's
on the right it's wrong*...
Has there ever been a time in our history where politicians were as polarized as they are now?

The House on Friday passed the Inflation Reduction Act along party lines, rounding out a series of recent wins for President Joe Biden. The House voted 220-207, with no Republicans joining Democrats in supporting the act.
It now heads to Biden, who is expected to sign it into law next week after months of negotiations between moderate and progressive Democrats, who ultimately reached an agreement late last month.
"We're unified!," Rep. Pramila Jayapal, chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, told USA TODAY. "Democrats are all in this together. We are all making life better for the American people."

The sweeping legislation on health care, climate and taxes that will do nothing that it's name claims it will passed through the Senate 51-50 along party lines last week after a 15-hour session of bullshit debate, amendments and no negotiation of any kind ending in Vice President Kamala Harris casting the tie-breaking vote.
Where are the 'middle-of-the-road'er's in politics any more?

 * My oldest brother Bob told me many, many moons ago that if
a guy had an earring on his right ear, that meant he was gay. I said to him: "What if he has it on his left?" He said - and I quote "If it's left it's right, if it's right it's wrong", and left it at that. We never did get the chance to discuss what it means if a guy has two earrings. I think he avoided that one on purpose.
For the record - I've had a shackle earring - in my left ear - for 40 years now. Juss' sayin'...

Meanwhile, here in The Villages, a different breed of predator

Arizona spans more than 370 miles of the U.S.-Mexico border, and has seen 430,342 migrants detained so far this year in their two sectors. The Yuma sector of the border is the third-busiest for migrant crossings: only Rio Grande Valley and Del Rio, both in Texas, have seen more arrivals. On Friday, the Republican governor of Arizona, Doug Ducey, who is running for re-election in November, announced he was building a makeshift border wall. Ducey said that his state had run out of patience with Washington DC and was taking matters into their own hands, with a wall of 60 shipping containers.
Arizona began moving in shipping containers to close a 1,000-foot gap in the border wall near the southern Arizona farming community of Yuma on Friday, with officials saying they were acting to stop migrants after repeated, unfulfilled promises from the Biden administration to block off the area.
'Arizona has had enough,' tweeted Doug Ducey, the Republican governor of the state, who is up for re-election in November. 'We can't wait any longer. The Biden administration's lack of urgency on border security is a dereliction of duty.'
The move by Arizona comes without explicit permission on federal land, with state contractors starting to move in 60-foot-long shipping containers, stacking two of the 9-foot-tall containers on top of each other early Friday.

They plan to complete the job within days, and the containers will be topped with four feet of razor wire, said Katie Ratlief, deputy chief of staff for the Republican governor, Doug Ducey. The state plans to fill three gaps in the border wall constructed during former President Donald Trump's tenure in the coming weeks, totaling 3,000 feet.

Is it street art or public art or is it
 something else entirely?

Actually, it's in rural Monterey County, California in Lewis Creek where it intersects route 25, east of San Lucas. The property owner used automobiles for erosion control during heavy rains. And then it stopped raining. Go figure.

I only mean that something is considered bullshit - or as these grownup individuals say 'pants on fire' - if one iota of one fact of one statement is in error. Case in point? The actual number verses the full statement...

What an incredible photograph. Grand Central Terminal in New York City
back in 1929. The sun no longer shines through like that
due to the surrounding tall buildings.

If ya need me, I'll be following her...

She looked like she mighta been a nice girl,
but sometimes looks can be deceiving.
I mean, what kinda girl never rides her bike
no faster than like 10 mph when they're in traffic?
I bet she never went any faster than that
the whole 45 minutes I was stuck behind her,
