It's not exactly 'Coals to Newcastle', but Domino's Pizza in Italy? GTFOH...

Popular (amongst some) American pizza chain Domino’s will soon exit the motherland of pizza. No, not New Jersey or New York. Italy.
Domino’s is leaving pizza’s birthplace because of the poor reception from locals. The company recently announced plans to close the last of its 29 branches in Italy. The popular U.S. pizza chain debuted in Italy in 2015 through a franchising agreement with ePizza SpA.
Domino’s originally planned to open 880 locations in the country, but competition from local pizza shops curbed those plans.
One way traditional Italian pizzerias combated Domino’s presence was by ramping up deliveries and signing deals with third-party delivery services during the pandemic.
“We attribute the issue to the significantly increased level of competition in the food delivery market with both organized chains and ‘mom & pop’ restaurants delivering food, to service and restaurants reopening post pandemic and consumers out and about with revenge spending,” ePizza SpA said in a report to investors. They didn't mention anything about the fact that the Italian people thought their pizza sucked.
There are 13 Domino’s locations left in Italy. Closing dates for the remaining spots have yet to be announced. Domino’s operates over 6,100 locations nationwide.

I honest to god have never tasted even one single slice of their pie, but I can almost guarantee you that it sucks. It's made for people who've never had a good pizza...

This is a pie I made last week at the house. This is the way Pizza should look - juss' sayin'...
I make my own pizza at home and have been doing so since I was in my 20's and single. My grandmother taught me how to stretch the dough and how to bake the pie when I was a little kid - maybe six or seven years old. I have never had a slice of pie from a chain pizzeria that was worth having a second piece and what didn't give me the shits for the garbage cheese they use - that oil-based fake mootsee fuckin' garbage cheese shit that goes through me like nothing else does. Okay Jap food fucks me up pretty good, too, but that a story for another day...

Y'all know I don't especially care for memes and other shit like this, but every once in a while one pops up that's kinda hard to ignore, like this one. Bear in mind of course that I'm 110% sure there's no fuckin' way that Denzel said this, and there's certainly no way to prove or disprove that he did, so I always take the attributions with a little salt.
The point is, I think it was Aristotle who said that 95% of all the shit you read on the internet is bullshit. Or was it Abraham Lincoln? Either way, it's true.
Most of the crap you read online is either garbage or made-up garbage. Even I - can you imagine - have been accused of occasionally falsifying stuff solely for entertainment purposes. Well, that's what Amelia Earhardt said a coupla weeks ago, anyways...

Gay Bob doll. Yes it actually existed. It was launched in 1977 by Harvey Rosenberg. The doll made him a multi-millionaire. He was not gay himself, just a very savvy marketer.

Marry that girl tomorrow - can you imagine the shit
you'd be able to get away with? Jeez...

Sesame Place has announced new measures to expand its diversity, equity and inclusion efforts following a class action lawsuit alleging racial bias.
Last month, a Black family accused Sesame Place Philadelphia character performers of racial discrimination and filed a lawsuit against parent company SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment in federal court in Pennsylvania.
The lawsuit, filed on behalf of Quinton Burns and his child, says that during their visit to Sesame Place in June, employees dressed as "Sesame Street" characters only interacted with White visitors during a meet and greet event.
By end of September, all employees will undergo training and education programs led by national experts, Sesame Place said in a statement Tuesday. The programs are designed to address bias, promote inclusion, prevent discrimination and ensure guests and employees feel welcome, it added.
The training will become a regular part of workforce development, and will extend to all new employees.

"We have already begun engaging with employees, guests, civil rights groups as well as community leaders, and instituted some interim measures at the park while the review proceeds. The actions we are taking will help us deliver on our promise to provide an equitable and inclusive experience for all our guests every day," said Cathy Valeriano, president of Sesame Place Philadelphia. "We are committed to making sure our guests feel welcome, included and enriched by their visits to our park."

Workers at Starbucks have held over 55 different strikes in at least 17 states in the US in recent months over the company’s aggressive opposition to a wave of unionization.
According to an estimate by Starbucks Workers United, the strikes have cost Starbucks over $375,000 in lost revenue. The union created a $1m strike fund in June 2022 to support Starbucks workers through their strikes and several relief funds have been established for strikes and to support workers who have lost their jobs.
Starbucks employees have alleged over 75 workers have been fired in retaliation for union organizing this year, and hundreds of allegations of misconduct by Starbucks related to the union campaign are currently under review at the National Labor Relations Board, including claims of shutting down stores to bust unions, firing workers and intimidating and threatening workers from unionizing. Starbucks has denied all allegations.

General Mills is releasing four limited-edition Monster Cereals boxes as part of a new collaboration with pop artist KAWS. Franken Berry, Count Chocula, Boo Berry and Frute Brute are back for this year's seasonal release. Fans are particularly excited about the appearance of Frute Brute, which is available for the first time since 2013.
"It's been a thrill to collaborate with General Mills and Monster Cereals," said KAWS in a news release on General Mills' website. "I've been a big fan of the cereals since I was a kid. Even now, I love the original box designs and the creativity and imagination they invoke."
Franken Berry and Count Chocula now bear the bone-shaped ears seen in many of KAWS' works. They also have KAWS' signature Xed-out eyes, as do Boo Berry and Frute Brute. The boxes have been reimagined following the same design as the original boxes, with an illustration of each character and a photo of the cereal in a bowl, all set on a blank white background.
Fans have a chance to win a set of collectible monster toys designed by KAWS. By entering a unique code found on the back of specially marked Monster Cereals boxes on kawsmonsters.com, they'll be entered into a sweepstakes for the prizes.
I'll bet this promotion helps sell a couple dozen boxes of each cereal. WTF are these people thinking with nonsense like this?

Dramatic footage shows moment house explodes, killing three. Evansville Police Department spokeswoman Sgt. Anna Gray said at least one other injury was reported and that victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Evansville Fire Department Chief Mike Connelly said a total of 39 houses were damaged by the explosion at around 1 p.m. He said the department has not confirmed how many of the houses were occupied when the explosion happened because “some were too unstable to enter.”
At least 11 of the 39 homes damaged are “uninhabitable,” Connelly told the Evansville Courier & Press.
The cause of the explosion has not been determined, but the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives was investigating. A phone message seeking comment was left at the Evansville field office of the ATF.

  1. Socialism, the lifestyle that Starsucks calls for, is all about the worker. "Workers Unite" is a socialist/communist slogan.
I can't get enough pleasure out of knowing that we were correct about libtards eating their own first. With any luck Starsucks will be out of business soon.

  4. Being in a Union is stupid. I was once in a Union and I learned that all I got is money taken to pay the Union and when I needed help the Union leaders took over my spot working with the Company and I was laid off. The government today has plenty of laws that cover people for most issues that would in the past need a union. Presently most Unions are paying their leaders way too much and most are tied to government jobs. Non-government jobs with Unions are seeing their jobs go overseas.

  5. I was in a union once at BellTel. Union rep didn't have to work and he drove a Lincoln Continental. Fuck that.
