I'll bet they were fun to go on leave with...

Captain Walter “Waddy” Young and his crew pose in
front of their caricatures on their B-29
Superfortress on November 24, 1944.

Captain Walter Roland "Waddy" Young was the Aircraft Commander pilot of U.S. Army Air Corps
B-29-40-BW Superfortress #42-24598, nicknamed "Waddy's Wagon." On January 9, 1945, while returning from bombing mission to Musashino Aircraft Factory near Tokyo, the plane came under attack by Japanese fighters. The bomber was severely battle damaged, and ditched in the Pacific off the coast of Japan. Sadly all eleven crew members pictured above were Killed In Action. Missing Air Crew Report 10908.
No remains were ever found and they were all declared dead by the USAAF on Jan. 10, 1946.
...

If you are thinking of getting something a little 'special'
for a special someone, won't you consider at least looking
at some of the jewelry my wife makes?
