Gee - I wish I was a millionaire like her...

Granholm, in a clip tweeted out by the Republican National Committee Tuesday, made the case for going electric amid sky high gas prices. 'If you filled up your EV [electric vehicle] and you filled up your gas tank with gasoline, you would save $60 per fill-up by going electric rather than using gasoline but it's a very compelling case, but again, we want to bring down the price at the point of purchase,' Granholm, the former governor of Michigan, said.
Her comments come as the national average price for one gallon of gas is now over $5.

Granholm, who is worth $8million according to Forbes, recently served as director of an electric car company - and held millions in the firm's stock.
Last month she exercised stock options in the company, called Proterra, pocketing $1.6million from the transaction, according to an energy department spokesperson.

  2. Stupid makes a compelling case for why it should be in a lunatic asylum. People can buy a lot of high priced fuel instead of the $60K price tag for an automotive dead end. If electric vehicles were as great as they say then it would already be the normal instead of gasoline and diesel power for the last hundred years. Buying a car with a cord limits your range and liberates the money out of your bank accounts.

  3. I read that they were increasing the ethanol in car fuel to 15%, that ought to take many older cars out of service over the next year or so... When used gas powered cars get spendy enough the new electric ones won't look that bad.

  4. Let's not talk about how brutally expensive it is to replace the battery, which starts falling off after 8 years, or how performance is drastically affected by temperature.
Lying is also what you don't mention.
