America - the land of the free and the home of the people afraid of everything...

It ain't the heat or the humidity - or the covid,. It's just something else we don't know how to deal with anymore...

More than 100 million Americans are being warned to stay indoors if possible as high temperatures and humidity settle in over states stretching through parts of the Gulf coast to the Great Lakes and east to the Carolinas.
The National Weather Service Prediction Center in College Park, Maryland, said on Monday 107.5 million people (no more, no less - that exact number) will be affected by combination of heat advisories, excessive heat warnings and excessive heat watches through Wednesday.
The heatwave, which set several high temperature records in the west, the south-west and into Denver during the weekend, moved east into parts of the Gulf coast and the midwest on Monday and will expand to the Great Lakes and east to the Carolinas, the National Weather Service said.

They should live here in North central Florida, where it gets to be over 100 damn near every day from May until October, and nobody gives a fuck.
Juss' sayin' - that's why God invented pools and air conditioning...

  1. My ancestors settled Texas. After coming inside from working out in the yard all morning, I'm impressed by what they did without having anywhere to cool off.
I'll bet they appreciated the hell out of Ed Friedrich invention when it came along

  2. I always said I'd rather be hot than cold. If you're sweating, walk in to an AC'd bar and poof...
