Global warming hits the Garden State...

People will be heading for the beaches and the beach towns won't get a dime from beach badge sales. Good...

The tri-state area is set to bake in a 100f heatwave this weekend that'll see temperature records smashed in New Jersey.
Triple-figure temperatures could be recorded in New Jersey Saturday afternoon, with New York City also set to endure roasting 90f conditions.
Some areas of the Garden State are forecast to see their hottest spring temperatures in history, while the Big Apple has issued its first heat advisory for the month of May since 2006.
The National Weather Service (NWS) said temperatures are expected to soar on Saturday morning following rainfall on Friday evening, with parts of southern New Jersey expected to see the highest temperatures of the weekend.
In New York City, where temperatures have yet to hit even 80 degrees at all this spring, the city is expected to see at 90 degree and higher weather on Saturday.
The dramatic shift caused the NWS to issue a heat advisory for the city, the first time its done so for the month of May since 2006.

'After a cool spring, there is an increase risk of heat related illnesses,' the NWS said of tri-state area for the weekend.
High temperatures are expected throughout the East Coast over the weekend, with Philadelphia forecasted to shatter its all-time high 95F degree record when temperatures hit 98 degrees on Saturday.
Richmond, Virginia, is also forecasted to see a seasonal record-breaking 99F degrees on Saturday.

The heatwave pelting the East Coast originates from a brewing air mass in Texas making its way northeast, which is expected to reach as north as Massachusetts as temperatures in New England are forecasted to climb above 80 degrees.
