Another tragic accident in Escondido? Well, sorta...

On Friday night, police responded to a self-service car wash in Escondido, where they found the body of a 56-year-old man, whose name was not released.
The man became 'trapped between a 2014 Scion XB and a part of the car wash machinery,' cops said
Shortly after the man drove into the car wash, he apparently got out of his vehicle as it rolled forward, trapping him against the car wash machinery.

Police have not commented on whether or not this is the same
man at another car wash in Rio Lindo last month...

Police still don't know why he exited the vehicle, but did confirm that the car wash was not activated at the time of the incident.
The collision caused an alarm to go off, prompting an employee to discover him outside of his car before calling police. Authorities said the alarm may have been going off for up to half an hour before the man was discovered.
