Think about when you were a kid and you saw a toy you liked.

The kid next door had the toy you wanted so bad, so you went to his house, destroyed it, and took it for yourself...

That may be overly simplistic, but what they're doing doesn't make any sense to me.

"God will not forgive and Ukraine will not forget" the slaughter of citizens by Russian forces, President Volodymyr Zelensky  vowed late last night, saying that a 'day of judgement' is coming for them instead as Vladimir Putin's war entered its twelfth day with fresh bombardments on major cities.
Moscow claims that 'humanitarian corridors' are being opened out of Mariupol, Kharkiv, Sumy and Kyiv this morning to allow hundreds of thousands of civilians to evacuate, but there is little hope of the ceasefire holding after two similar corridors created at the weekend folded after less than an hour - which the Russians are thought to have used to reposition their forces and reload for a fresh assault.
Mykolaiv, a city on Ukraine's Black Sea coast, was the first to come under shelling as Russian troops closed in on Kyiv. Irpin, a city on Kyiv's western outskirts, was among the hardest-hit at the weekend as Russian forces continue their attempts to surround the capital - with a bombing campaign almost certain to follow. Zelensky issued his condemnation after a family-of-four were among eight civilians killed trying to flee Irpin on Sunday.

Russia's invasion of Ukraine appears to have ground to a halt with no significant territory captured despite a weekend of heavy fighting, with Kyiv's men claiming to have taken out dozens of helicopters and recaptured a city this morning - sparking hopes that the unlikeliest of victories may be on the cards.
Putin's men renewed their bombardments on Mariupol, Chernihiv, Mykolaiv and Kharkiv this morning as his forces also tried to surround Kyiv in preparation for an assault, but have not significantly advanced their frontline since the city of Kherson and nuclear power plant at Zaporizhzhia were captured last week.
Meanwhile the Ukrainian armed forces claimed to have destroyed up to 30 Russian helicopters that had been moved to Chornobaivka airport, near Kherson, overnight and to have retaken the city of Chuhuiv, near Kharkiv, killing two Russian commanders - Lt. Col. Dmitry Safronov, and Lt Col. Denis Glebov - in the process.

It's really true. They only have the balls to do this now after the guys in Canada did it first. The reality is the Covid shit and everything that went with it is pretty much in the rear-view mirror now, so all these guys will accomplish is being a big pain in the ass for the people who live and work there.
Most of the Dem asswipes who put all the mandates and rules in place have backed off because they see the writing on the wall and know there's an election coming up this year.
I say it's a nice idea, but it's a day late and a coupla bucks short of being relevant. Juss' sayin'...

Ya see - no matter what you do, there's always some
jerkoff who'll tell you it's bad for you.

“When it comes to frozen foods, several nutrients are of major concern for heart health; salt, sugar and unhealthy fats,” said registered dietitian Angela L. Lago. “Not only are foods that contain an excess of these nutrients inflammatory, they are also key drivers for obesity, heart disease, high blood pressure and diabetes.”
The American Heart Association (AHA) recommends no more than 2,300 milligrams of sodium per day. The “ideal limit” is no more than 1,500 mg per day for most adults, especially those who have high blood pressure, according to the AHA.
Lago said that some frozen foods like frozen vegetables, fruits and whole grain products are not all bad, though there are categories individuals looking to improve or protect heart health should avoid.

“When frozen food is the only choice, compare food labels and choose the product with less salt, sugar and trans fat,” she said, noting that processed, packaged foods make up 70% of the salt in average Americans’ diets.
“Ultra-processed foods are not only loaded with sugar, fats, and/or salt, but also include preservatives and artificial colors and flavors that allow the products to have a longer shelf life. These ultra-processed foods are associated with a greater risk of cardiovascular disease,” said Lago, pointing to the 2021 dietary guidance to improve cardiovascular health from the AHA.

  3. "Russia's invasion of Ukraine appears to have ground to a halt with no significant territory captured..."

This morning Russia controls about 40% of the land area of Ukraine, 250,000 sq km. Many major cities are surrounded, including Kiev, Kharkiv, and Mariupol. A cease fire is in effect this morning to allow evacuation of civilians from those cities. A good deal of the Ukrainian army is cutoff by encircling maneuvers. It has no air force. Sometime in the next few days the Ukraine is likely to surrender.

  4. Yep. It’s still winter here with temps forecast to go into the negative teens again this week. I’ll have snow on the ground well into July this year, I expect.
