A near miss in Maryland? Ah - c'mon, man...

Somebody musta been thinking about the line of succession
and trying to make it a little shorter...

Joint Base Andrews in Maryland has gone on lockdown after reports of an armed individual on-base. Officers were still searching for the intruder, late on Sunday night. There is no active shooter or any sense of shots being fired. One individual was apprehended, and another remains at large.
According to a statement from the base, a breach occurred at 9pm after a vehicle failed to obey security commands at the main gate. About an hour earlier, Vice President Kamala Harris together with four Cabinet secretaries had been on the base as they travelled back from Selma, Alabama, where they had participated in  commemorative events for 'Bloody Sunday' (not the one sung about by U2. That one was in Londonderry).
The group landed in Maryland at about 9pm and left there shortly afterward on the Marine Two helicopter, the White House explained.
