I'm still trying to get my head around why anyone
would think this was a good idea.
Hip hop finally had its 'moment in the sun' at the Super Bowl Sunday night, but no one outside of the inner-cities can figure out why.
These so-called 'legends of hip-hop' - Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Kendrick Lamar, Mary J. Blige, and Eminem took to the stage for an excruciating halftime show at the So-Fi Stadium in Inglewood, Calif. The spectacularly strange, over-the-top high-energy performance was meant to be a powerful celebration of hip hop and its evolution over the last three decades, but in the end had most people scratching their heads wondering 'Who the fuck thought this was a good idea?'
The show itself was supposedly a celebration of the 'legacy 'of Dr. Dre, a pioneer of West Coast rap whose outsize influence on the genre helped shape the careers of his co-headliners, especially his protege, Eminem, and fellow hometown heroes, Snoop Dogg and Kendrick Lamar (whoever the fuck he is).
It was also a fitting nod to the host city of Inglewood and the Los Angeles area, because celebrating weed-smoking drug dealers and convicted criminals is thought of as 'cool' out there in LaLaLand.

Prince Andrew has reached an out-of-court settlement regarding a
sexual assault lawsuit filed against him by accuser Virginia Giuffre last year. Financial terms were not disclosed.
“Prince Andrew intends to make a substantial donation to Ms Giuffre’s charity in support of victims’ rights,” read a notice of settlement from Giuffre’s lawyer, David Bois, which said it was on behalf of both parties.

He promised his administration would do what it could to alleviate that.
