It's just a question of time before someone tries to do this here in the States. If it does happen, it'll start a shitstorm that may never stop...
Greece is making Covid vaccinations mandatory
for all people aged 60 and over.
Fines of €100 (113.36 USD) will be imposed at monthly intervals from mid-January on those who refuse, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis said.
The money will go towards the Greek health system, which is struggling with a surge in hospital admissions.
About 63% of Greece's 11-million population is fully vaccinated, but data show more than 520,000 people over 60 are yet to get the jab.
"Greeks over the age of 60... must book their appointment for a first jab by January 16," the premier said in a statement to the cabinet.
"Their vaccination is henceforth compulsory."

After 5 solid years of anti-Trump bullshit and pussy-hat parades, impeachment bullshit and Russian collusion lies, this is a welcome sight. Juss' sayin'...

This is the Andromeda Galaxy, a galaxy 2.5 million light-years away from Earth as seen by the Hubble Telescope. You've heard of it, of course - or at the very least you've heard it referred to at some point.
What you can't begin to grasp in any meaningful way is exactly how far 2.5 million light years is. It's almost incomprehensible.

I keep going back to this issue of individual freedoms and personal choice. How is it possible that so many people in this country want to be told what they can and cannot do, when, where and how?
Why would anyone want to be told what to wear, where they can and cannot go, and even have dictated behaviors and forced medical procedures?
How is it possible that this difference - this diversity of beliefs - can almost always be drawn on political party lines? I cannot imagine ever being willing to give up my rights of self-determination.

Bar none best toys I received as a kid were Tonka trucks, those babies were made of real steel. I had a firetruck which came with a little fire hydrant which attached to a garden hose and then a hose ran from the hydrant to the truck. The truck had a reel with a hose that then sprayed out water. What a freaking beaut that was, also had a working tow truck. I'm sure I'd be sick to see what those are worth today.
