Anyway, the Fed buys the debt, and turns around and has the mint just print the same amount in new currency and pumps it back in to the system.
The more money there is floating around - combined with an increase in pent-up demand, decrease in raw materials, no labor because you're paying people to stay home or you've destroyed their work ethic, production and distribution capabilities, and POOF - there ya go. Inflation.
