It's Saturday Morning. Does that mean anything to you?

If you're as old as I am, it don't mean shit.
I've gotten to the age where days of the week are nothing more than check marks on someone else's calendar somewhere...

...

When we were kids, it meant Saturday morning cartoons on a B&W round TV screen before yardwork chores, unless it was snowing. If it was, you shoveled the sidewalk, grabbed your old Flexible Flyer sled and headed for Deadman's Hill.

Kamala Harris missed a high-level meeting with Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador to visit a daycare center in New Jersey.
The Vice President, who was put in charge of border policy by Joe Biden, delegated the thorny meeting to  U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken. Instead, she visited a daycare center at Montclair State University in Little Falls and a vaccination site at Essex County Community College in Newark to promote the Biden administration's agenda.
The vice president last visited the border in June. It is the only time she's been to the border since taking office. Antony Blinken was joined at Friday's high-level talks in Mexico's capital by Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas and U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland.

Crowds gather in Times Square to celebrate the end of
World War II on August 14 1945. It's hard to imagine these days
what that sense of unity and utter joy must have been like.
There's certainly nothing comes close nowadays.
