  1. A friend of mine had a dad named Randall Sprenger who was a nose art "artist". This is him seen putting the final touches on "Little Gem". He was a Marine in WW2. He was on the cover of Life Magazine once and I believe this is the picture. Great post.

  2. On an episode of the old British TV show 'Time Team', they found one of the women who painted the nose art and had her paint one of the archeologists in that fashion
