Things worth fighting for...

...

We all can make a very long list of things
we think are worth fighting for, right?

Most certainly duty, honor and country.
...

Most definitely family...
...

Our right to pray to the god of our choice is indisputable.
...

Why then have we become such a nation of sheep?

Why are we allowing our state and local governments to limit how and where we can assemble, and with whom?

Why are we allowing these government entities to shut down our businesses, our houses of worship, our livelihoods?
...

For a little of perspective at this moment,
imagine you were born in 1900.

On your 14th birthday, World War I starts, and ends when you are 18.

Later in the year, a Spanish Flu epidemic hits the planet and runs until your 20th birthday.

On your 29th birthday, the Great Depression begins. Unemployment hits 25%, the World GDP drops 27%. That runs until you are 33.

The country nearly collapses along with the world economy. When you turn 39, World War II starts. You aren’t even over the hill yet. And don’t try to catch your breath.

On your 41st birthday, the United States is fully pulled into WWII until you are 45. At 50, the Korean War starts. At 55 the Vietnam War begins.

When you are 62 the Cuban Missile Crisis threatens to end life on our planet as we know it.

When you turn 75, the Vietnam War finally ends.

Perspective is amazing. Yes, we are in a challenging time nowadays. Try to remember everything that those born in 1900 endured and accomplished, and have faith that we will endure as well.

But don't EVER let someone take your rights away from you without a damn good fight - never ever again.
...

This is most certainly one of the most iconic photos of my generation - maybe of all time.

 Ever seen this picture?

This is THAT original flag from Iwo. There were actually two flags raised that day. Both flags (from the first and second flag-raisings) are now located in the National Museum of the Marine Corps in Quantico, Virginia.
...

...

I've seen this picture before but I never before noticed that the kid is wearing some kinda weird head shield kinda thing.
...

Perspective is everything.

Me and this guy share the same birthday date.

"During my 18 years (in the bigs), I came to bat almost 10,000 times. I struck out about 1,700 times and walked maybe 1,800 times. You figure a ballplayer will average about 500 at bats a season. That means I played seven years without ever hitting the ball."

Pennsylvania governor threatens to withhold coronavirus aid to counties that defy lockdown orders

Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf - a guy who looks like he got his ass kicked every day in the schoolyard - lashed out Monday at counties in the Keystone State that are defying his shutdown order and moving ahead with reopening businesses – threatening to withhold coronavirus aid and saying they are "choosing to desert in the face of the enemy."

Breaking from his normal, mild-mannered tone, the Democratic governor expressed his anger on Monday with a number of local elected officials who have said they will buck Wolf’s staggered reopening plan. Wolf said the defiant county officials were “operating illegally” and “jeopardizing the lives of citizens of those counties.”

Who exactly the fuck do these people think they are?
They're acting like fucking dictators.

Thousands swarmed newly reopened beaches in one Florida city over the weekend - rivaling even Fourth of July crowds and swiftly prompting an order to shut them down once again, according to a new report.

Naples councilman Gary Price pushed for the shutdown after a friend texted him a photo of sunbathers packing the beach on Saturday amid the coronavirus crisis. “It was just packed,” Price told the station after driving over to take a look for himself. “I mean, there were clearly way too many people for the area.”

Did the dooshbag go there personally and see for himself - or did he rely on the picture sent to him by his 'friend'? Report doesn't say.

Naples city manager Charles Chapman issued an emergency order, closing the beaches from 12:01 a.m. Sunday until further notice. Again - who the fuck ever said that a City Manager (an unelected position) has the right or the power to shut a beach?

Why aren't people literally up in arms about this shit?

So there may well be a season after all.
We'll keep listening...

This is an actual, real print ad from the 80's. It's deranged. There are SO MANY things wrong with what's going on in that picture, not to mention the fact that the product looks like a friggin' vibrator.
...

Know what this is? If you live down here
in the deep south you certainly do.

That little pain in the ass motherfucker
(actually both of them) is a 'Love Bug'.

Without question the stupidest bug God ever created. The big one is always the female. They stay attached - basically non-stop fucking - for two or three days, flying, fucking, being pains in the ass, and then the male dies. The female lays the eggs she produces, then she croaks. Happens twice a year (spring and fall) here, and it a major league pain in the balls.

Running in to swarms of them like this is not uncommon. And it's absolutely fuckin' impossible to clean them off the windshield with the wipers and the spray. Ya gotta scrape the little dead fuckers off. Not fun.

Really? Friggin' Archie comics are advocating now? Jeez.

There's still a shitload of stupid shit yet to come
in the next coupla months.

There's gonna be a whole lotta places you won't be able to go to without wearing a mask. Be prepared -  but seriously - you don't have to break the bank doing it. You can get these masks super fast - they're in stock and ready to ship.

If ya don't use 'em all they're still great
for around the shop or the jobsite.

You'll find them here - take a look:

So tell me - was this done in the name of a religion?
WTF kinda religion is that, anyway?

MAY 05: China's new large carrier rocket Long March-5B taking off.

The body of a spent Chinese rocket became the largest piece of space junk in decades to fall, uncontrolled, back towards Earth on Monday.

On May 5, a Long March 5B rocket launched a prototype crew capsule resembling a SpaceX Crew Dragon to orbit for a test. After almost a week orbiting the Earth, the core stage of the large rocket re-entered our atmosphere.

It appears that whatever bits didn't completely burn up might have made it to the surface, likely splashing down into the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of West Africa, according to the US military.

Them people's fuckin' crazy dude:

This really is some seriously nutty shit - Prisoners at the North County Correctional Facility in Castaic were filmed sharing a disposable cup and sniffing a used face mask in order to accomplish their alleged plot, according to Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva.

“Somehow, there was some mistaken belief among the inmate population that if they tested positive, that there was a way to force our hand and somehow release more inmates out of our jail environment - and that’s not going to happen,” Villanueva said.

She got a weird head-to-body kinda ratio goin' on, but damn she's had a smokin' little bod. Wonder what she's looking like these days.

But again and again I find myself asking no one in particular: Who gives a flyin' rats-ass fuck what Melinda Gates thinks, and why does the media think I give a fuck?
I swear the whole fuckin' world is up side down.

Back in the Spring of 1969, Monmouth College (now University) hosted an outdoor concert featuring the groups Track, Brother Duck, Southern Conspiracy, and Child plus a closing acoustic performance by several Monmouth students.
The lead singer for Child, 19-year-old Bruce Springsteen, is pictured here performing on stage in front of Wilson Hall, with Vini Lopez on drums.

  1. Jennifer Love Hewitt (#37) has a role in "911" these days. She's not quite as thin as in this photo, but she's holding up pretty well.
