So much for having a living will.
Living & dying in New York.

New York state just issued a drastic new guideline urging emergency-services workers not to bother trying to revive anyone without a pulse when they get to a scene.

While paramedics were previously told to spend up to 20 minutes trying to revive people found in cardiac arrest, the change is “necessary during the COVID-19 response to protect the health and safety of EMS providers by limiting their exposure, conserve resources, and ensure optimal use of equipment to save the greatest number of lives.’’

Derek Jeter Hall of Fame induction
decision coming soon

What they're debating is whether or not to have the HOF induction ceremony with no audience. It's ridiculous. Give the man his props. It was an absolute pleasure to watch this guy play. Give him  all of the credit and celebrations his career deserves.

A final decision will be reached soon, perhaps as early as May 1. The Hall has to decide whether to go on with the induction the weekend of July 26, push it back later into the summer/fall or not have an induction at all in 2020 and move the entire ceremony to 2021 because of the coronavirus pandemic.

These are really comfortable pants.
No kidding.
They're seriously comfortable to wear.
Even here in Florida.

At 25 bucks each, a good deal, too. See for yourself:

Speaking about Halls of Fame, am I the only person who thinks the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is a fucking joke?

They should actually call the place 'The Hawl of Shame'.

This is Grand Funk Railroad, one of the hardest rockin' fuckin' bands to come down the pike.

They're NOT in the RRHoF but ABBA is? What exactly the fuck is that all about. Jeez...

And this item from the 'Ya can't make this shit up' Department:

A woman survived a close-range gunshot thanks to her silicone breast implants, doctors have discovered.

Researchers detailed how a silicone breast implant deflected the bullet from nipping the 30-year-old woman’s vital organs in a new study published in the SAGE medical journal. “The implant caused the change in the trajectory of the bullet,” surgeon Giancarlo McEvenue, a co-author of the study said.

“The bullet wound entry was on the left breast, but the rib fracture was on the right side. The bullet entered the skin on the left side first, and then ricocheted across her sternum into the right breast and broke her rib on the right side,” he explained. The shooting took place in 2018 in Toronto. It was one of a handful of documented instances in medical journals where breast implants have saved a person’s life — and the first instance where a silicone implant had actually changed the trajectory of a bullet, according to the authors.

Did you get your 'free money' from
the government yet? I haven't.

All told, a majority of the 140 million households in the U.S. will be receiving a coronavirus stimulus check. But the big question is, exactly when will it arrive?

According to the Washington Post, the IRS's plan is to send its first batch of payments to those folks who have their direct deposit information on file. That's about 80 million Americans. After that, it'll begin issuing paper checks, of which it can print and send out in the neighborhood of 5 million per week.

However, the IRS isn't going to simply draw names or Social Security numbers out of a hat to determine when you'll be paid your stimulus check. Rather, it's going to be issuing paper checks on a weekly basis based on AGI and in $10,000 increments. If you know your AGI from 2019 (if you've already filed your federal return) or 2018 (if you've yet to file), this will tell you precisely when you can expect to receive your stimulus check.

In case you forgot, it's YOUR MONEY they're 'giving you'.

It amazes me what some people will do
to draw attention to themselves.

And I like Bruce Willis. He's a Jersey guy like I am. In fact, he grew up in a town just five miles from where I did.
But anyways, The Die Hard star has been holed up at Demi Moore’s house in Idaho, where they’ve been since at least April 7, when Demi provided a photo of them all wearing matching pajamas.

Demi is his ex-wife, remember?
WTF is with these people.

Thanks to genetic pool I was born in to, I've suffered from Gout for the last 30 years or even more - who cares how long? The point is, meds and scripts didn't work - everything any doctor ever tried to do for me was a failure. One day a buddy of mine told me about this product and I tried it. I would not ever bullshit you about this - it's too important to ME - this stuff works. Period.

I haven't not had a gout flair up in like 10 years since I started taking just two of these every morning. Nothing else has ever worked.

This stuff works - and with zero side effects.
