Is that the best they got?

If so, they're gonna be kinda fukt. Juss sayin'

It's now Democratic establishment vs. Bernie Sanders on Super Tuesday...

She's an appointed Democrat Senator.  “I’m Kelly Loeffler and I approve this message because I believe in America, that Bernie Sanders’ radical ideas are dangerous and that socialism risks everything that makes us great,” she said.

As Bernie Sanders has surged in polls and racked up victories in early states, there has been growing discomfort among many Democrats about the prospect of running this fall with a socialist at the top of the ticket. On Super Tuesday, the battle between Sanders and the Democratic establishment will be coming to a head.

After a dominant win in Nevada to go with his victory in New Hampshire and his arguable win in Iowa, Sanders seemed to be in a prime position to capture the Democratic nomination just a week ago. He had a strong lead both nationally and in Super Tuesday states, lots of money, and a vast organization.

But that’s when the party, or at least prominent members of the party, began to strike back. The first step came ahead of the South Carolina primary, when House Majority Whip Jim Clyburn endorsed Joe Biden and warned of “down-ballot carnage” if Democrats nominated a socialist.

Funny Old Children’s Manners Books Now Digitized in England

In an ambitious attempt to inspire young minds, the British Library has unveiled a mind-boggling online resource. It has digitized a raft of goodies spanning the centuries. These include classic drafts of The Famous Five by Enid Blyton and early sketches of the Gruffalo by illustrator Axel Scheffler – the design of which was toned down before publishing.

The free collection of digitized manners books numbers over 100 items. According to the project’s website, this unique resource “provides access to some of the earliest printed works created for a young readership and an array of movable, miniature, noisy and toy books, propaganda stories, comics, poems and fairy tales.”

David Godlis was a photographer simply known as GODLIS

He was deeply influenced by Brassai’s Secret Paris of the 1930s – which portrayed its opium dens, its brothels – when he decided to photograph music history in 1976.

“I looked at [Brassai’s book] every morning over coffee at Burger King in Times Square before going to work at a photo studio nearby,” Godlis writes in the introduction of his latest photobook, History is Made At Night. “But sitting at the CBGB bar that night, I suddenly had the epiphany that may be I could be shooting at CBGB like Brassai shot Paris.”

He did a great job chronicling the punk scene in NYC back in the day.

What sick, twisted shit must this hadda been?

Back in 1939, a little girl named Lina Medina gave birth to a healthy baby boy. She was only five-years-old.

Born in Ticrapo, Peru, she was brought to a hospital by her parents at the age of five years due to increasing abdominal size. She was originally thought to have had a tumor, but her doctors determined she was in her seventh month of pregnancy. Dr Gerardo Lozada took her to Lima to have other specialists confirm that Medina was pregnant.

A month and a half after the original diagnosis, Medina, at the age of 5 years, 7 months, and 21 days, gave birth to a boy by a caesarean section on 14 May 1939, which made her the youngest known person in history to give birth.

Medina never revealed the father of the child nor the circumstances of her impregnation. Lina's father was arrested on suspicion of child sexual abuse but he was later released due to lack of evidence, and the biological father was never identified.

Dude - how fucked up is that? Jeezzzzzzzzzzzzz.

Efforts are underway to save historic USS Ling submarine after devastating flood in murky N.J. river

The USS Ling, a World War II-era submarine, as it looks today, on the Hackensack River.

For a year and a half, as much as 14 feet of murky river water filled the hull of the 312-foot long, 250-ton vessel after vandals flooded the boat. The water filled every corner and crevice of the submarine’s innards, damaging radio and electronic equipment. Era-specific artifacts like mess kits, uniforms and bunks fully furnished with mattresses were also lost.

But by November, after months of work that included trudging around inside the submarine clad in wet suits, members of the Louisville Naval Museum Inc. have drained all but a few inches of water inside the boat’s main compartment. Once again, a person can walk into the submarine and take a glimpse into military history.

The mission, the group says, is to restore the Ling to its former glory and to put it on display in a Louisville museum as its showcase exhibit.

  2. CORRECTION: Kelly Loeffler is a Republican. She is wealthy and was appointed to fill the RINO Johnny Isakson's Senate seat by Governor Kemp for the $uport she gave him on his gubernatorial run. Loeffler is a huge Trump supporter and she owns the WNBA team in Atlanta.
