Well, if you've never been to the Virgin Islands, let's go there this morning...
You can parachute in, but the majority of people get there by boat. At best it's a short 20-minute ride from Red Hook on St. Thomas. Watch the vid - it's a nice ride.

The ferry from St. Thomas docks in Cruz Bay, the largest of the two towns on island. This is a nice little vid that shows going around town. Take a look.

St John is indeed beautiful, the prettiest "big" island in the USVI. St Thomas is most definitely not to my liking. Way too many huge cruise ships at the top of the list. And St Croix? Wow, what a shithole. We put over there one day for(we thought) a nice night out & about and our spidy senses immediately pegged. We were totally on guard until that place was well in our wake.

ReplyDeleteMac - Mike was my best friend on island. We worked, drank and played together for ten years! Sadly, I was the last person to see him when he died. How do you know Squiggy? I'm adding a picture of me and him to this blog entry!
