Monday morning scandals?

I think there's just too much media out there these days...

The Astros are sign stealing scumbags.

The New York Yankees accused the Houston Astros of using whistles to convey stolen signs during the recent American League Championship Series, and it turns out they weren’t totally off base.

According to Andy Martino of SNY, MLB investigators did find evidence of whistling in footage of Game 1 of the ALCS, but they weren’t able to identify the source. MLB had an official on site during the game who didn’t report any whistling, and after an investigation the league announced that it hadn’t found evidence of any wrongdoing on Houston’s part. However, there was more to it. According to Martino, MLB had heard whistling during a review of ALCS Game 1 footage, but they were unable to determine whether it had come from a fan at Minute Maid Park or an Astros employee.

I don't think he thought this signwork all the way through.

I wouldn't live in Californica if ya paid me to do it.

About 250,000 PG&E customers in 19 counties in Burnifornia could face shutoffs this week due to risk of wildfire, the utility company said Sunday evening.

PG&E said a strong offshore wind early Wednesday morning and dry conditions may lead to power shutoffs for customers in the Sierra Foothills, the North Valley, North Bay and other parts of the Bay Area. Good. They get what they deserve.

NJ's new 'no-idling law'

And people wonder why I moved from NJ to Florida.
...

The ACLU is a complete clusterfuck.

Can you believe this?

In a rare public appearance to pick up an award, the scumbag who accused U.S. Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault says she had a 'responsibility to come forward', NBC News reports. Christine Blasey Ford, a psychology professor at Palo Alto University in California, spoke Sunday after she accepted the Rodger Baldwin Courage Award from the ACLU of Southern California in Beverly Hills.

She said: “When I came forward last September, I did not feel courageous. I was simply doing my duty as a citizen. I understood that not everyone would welcome my information, and I was prepared for a variety of outcomes, including being dismissed.”

Blasey Ford testified in September 2018 during Kavanaugh’s confirmation hearings that Kavanaugh assaulted her during a gathering of teenagers in suburban Maryland in 1982. Kavanaugh has vehemently denied the allegation for good reason. It never fuckin' happened.

This is a cool looking car.
It's the new Mustang SUV.

Let's hope it does something for the company's stock price. At $ 8.95 a share it's a bargain that spouts a 6.8% dividend!

Ford just pulled the wraps off of the Mustang Mach-E, an all-electric SUV that promises Mustang performance with far more practicality when it gets released in late 2020. It’s the company’s first long-range electric car, and the only other Ford vehicle to ever be called a Mustang — the latter of which already has people riled up.

It’s a bold move to take an iconic product and try to essentially turn it into a brand of its own, though I’d be willing to bet this electric SUV would have sparked much less interest if Ford had either leveraged another one of its badge names, or created an entirely new one. (Also, call me what you will, but I have a hard time being precious with a corporation’s words, especially when most corporations don’t seem to care about meaning anymore to begin with.)

Beyond the name, the Mustang Mach-E’s design has also felt polarizing since the vehicle first leaked the other day, and a lot of that attention has been paid to the front end. Instead of a traditional grille, Ford went and gave most versions of the Mustang Mach-E a nose that matches the SUV’s body color. We’ve seen this trend a bunch in electric vehicles — they tend to need less direct air cooling, so in many cases automakers have tried to get clever with the design — but this is one of the highest-profile EV launches to date, and so it’s under intense scrutiny.
