Some beautiful Irish roads to travel down.
I've just returned from a wonderful ten-day visit to see my Brother and sister-in-law
who live in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
We spent quite a few days travelling around in the Republic of Ireland
(you DO know there are two different 'Irelands', don't you?).
Anyway, it's a beautiful place if you're not bothered by the weather. Here's some of what I was able to see over there. It's only a small samples, but I'm sure you'll get the idea.
This is 'downtown' Glenties. Glenties is a village in County Donegal, Ireland.
It is situated where two glens meet, north-west of the Bluestack Mountains, near the confluence of two rivers. Glenties is the largest centre of population in the parish of Iniskeel.
Fun little town (one city block long, it has seven bars, a hotel and a bookmaker's shop)

There are no direct flights in to No. Ireland from here in Florida so
we had to fly to Dublin and the take the train north to Belfast.
This is the Famous Samuel Beckett Bridge in Dublin. It has fast become
the most photographed part of the Dublin skyline alongside the Poolbeg towers.

On a back road heading in to DoocharyVillage in the Republic of Ireland.
An Dúchoraidh or An Dúcharaidh, meaning "the black weir", is a small village in the Rosses area of County Donegal, Ireland. Doochary is within the Gaeltacht, meaning the Irish language is the main language used there. Doochary was awarded the 'Tidy Towns' award in 1997.
The entire town center consists of ten buildings.
