  1. Looking back at the self absorbed, selfish, me, me, me women I dated I can see this as a good alternative.

  2. Bout the closest I've come to wanting an AI girl is Kelly LeBrock from Weird Science.

  3. I wonder what the demographics of those surveyed was.

My nephew (early 30s) is probably a classic example of "failed to launch". He would love to have an AI girlfriend. I don't think he's ever had a flesh-and-blood girlfriend. He has asked women out, always soundly rejected (which, frankly, only shows that they have good taste). He's to the point where all he does is eat, play video games, watch television, and surf p0rn.

While boys (hate to call them men) like my nephew are certainly part of the problem; a lot of women today are also a major part of the problem. Too many of them have unrealistic expectations of what they're looking for in a man, have embraced the hookup culture, and have body-counts that would make a sailor blush. This completely removes them from being wife-material, let alone mother-of-my-children material. Add to that the #metoo movement, the fear of being publicly shamed for asking a woman out, merely used for a dine-and-dash experience, or having the woman decide she's bored and having her leave with half your stuff -- suddenly a virtual girl-friend doesn't sound so bad.
