How can we believe anything these people say?

There's another, even better example from 2010 with old friend Nancy stating unequivocally that waste, fraud and abuse in Social Security have to be dealt with or 'we're doomed', and now here she is bitching and moaning about Musk and DOGE. We know most, if not all politicians flip-flop on issues accoprding to the phase of the moon or an approaching election, but this guy does it on a daily basis. Really makes you wonder how these dooshtools get re-elected time and again...

The House Minority flop-flipper said that “Under a shutdown, the Trump administration would have full authority to deem whole agencies, programs and personnel non-essential, furloughing staff with no promise that would ever be rehired.” Schumer saidthat just a day after signalling his party was prepared to withhold their votes in a bid to force Republicans back to the negotiating table.
Senate Republicans hold a narrow 53-seat majority, well shy of the 60-vote threshold needed to advance the legislation. Senator Rand Paul, a staunch fiscal hawk, has indicated his opposition to the House bill, meaning eight Democrats would likely need to support the bill for it to overcome procedural hurdles to reach a final vote in the chamber.
See what I mean? How can we believe these people when we witness them do a 180 on policy in less than 24 hours?

Uncooked beef roasts, including corned beef, are at an all-time high this year ahead of St. Patrick’s Day, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics – with the average pound costing customers about $7.99 as of last month.

I don't mean for this to be a rhetorical question, but I've been watching people do stupid shit like this for well over 70 years, and I don't believe I've ever seen one single protest or demonstration ever accomplish anything beyond being a loud, disruptive pain in the ass. How about you guys - ever see one that actually effected something or someone?

Governor Phil Murphy is raising taxes on beer, wine, liquor and cider, because in his New Jersey, even your nightcap comes with a higher price tag. His latest budget proposal includes a 10% tax hike on alcohol, pulling an extra $18.5 million from New Jerseyans who just want to enjoy a drink without getting gouged by Trenton.
This tax won’t just hit bars and liquor stores—it will drive up costs for restaurants, breweries, wineries and distilleries that are still struggling to recover from Murphy’s pandemic-era restrictions. Small businesses will take the hit, and you’ll pay more for every bottle, pint and cocktail. Murphy’s playbook is clear: If it’s something people enjoy, tax it. So, next time you raise a glass, remember, Murphy already took his cut.

This is what remains of the old Paramount Theater on Broad Street, downtown Newark, NJ. It's amazing to see it in this condition - this was once a magnificent theater, now it sits abandoned. I can remeber going there as a kid and seeing actual stage performances before and after feature movies. maybe I dreamed it, but I vaguely remember seeing a guy balance a chair on his chin while he juggled bowling pins. Or maybe that's just one of the acid flashbacks I was promised so many moons ago...

  1. Regarding the increase in taxes for wine in Joysay.....have they tried to spend less at that government place that makes these laws?

    So.
Who are the 8 most vulnerable Democrats in the Senate?
    Or the most entrenched?

  3. I'd argue that the antiwar protests ended the draft (too late for this kid.) I don't regret it a bit, but not many Marines were as lucky as I was.
