A froggy-kinda indian giver? Pas une chance, mon ami...

The Post had this - “We’re going to say to the Americans who have chosen to side with the tyrants, to the Americans who fired researchers for demanding scientific freedom: ‘Give us back the Statue of Liberty,’ the left-leaning French dip, Raphaël Glucksmann, said during a recent convention of his political party, Place Publique, according to the French newspaper Le Monde.
Glucksmann - a major-league leftie war mongerer - is a serious booster of the Ukraine war and has sharply criticized President Trump for aggressively seeking to pull back on US support for the effort. He also has been a vocal opponent of Trump reducing funding to colleges and research institutions.

  6. The French don't deserve it. They are borderline war-mongering neo-fascists who don't respect individual rights and liberties. If they ever did. I'm beginning to suspect the current French government are descendants of Vichy.

  7. Sure, just ship home the remains of those American service men who died to free France.

  10. Most Americans don't know that the statue was originally going to go to Egypt and stand at Port Said... The Egyptians didn't want it, so they gave it to the US. If I were Trump, I'd tell the little French shirt-lifter to COME AND GET IT!!

  11. I'd be fine with it. That damn poem has turned this country into the dumping ground for the dregs of the third world.

    1. The poem wasn't part of the original Statue Of Liberty. The statue was shipped to NY in 1885, assembled, erected, on the pedestal then dedicated in 1886. The plaque with the Emma Lazarus poem "The New Colossus" was added in 1903. The Lazurus poem was one of many written earlier as entries in an auction to raise money for the pedestal. Years after the statue was erected lefties resurrected the poem and campaigned to add it to the statue's pedestal base. IMHO the plaque should be removed and melted down for scrap.

  12. Typical Euro Politico sounding off, but shows us there is no reason for the USA to be in NATO and to have bases in Europe.
