Gas prices at the pump are determined by market forces of supply and demand, not individual companies, and the price of crude oil is the primary determinant of the price we pay at the pump. The oil markets are priced at futures prices, not the cost on the day the oil is pumped out of the ground. I know it sounds confusing, and to most of us not in the business, it is.
Two weeks before the election gas at my local Circle-K station was 3.35 a gallon. Today I filled up at $ 2.37. Carzy right? Bullshit.
The markets know that as soon as Trump takes office, the US will be back in the lead world-wide on petroleum output, and they're pricing the futures accordingly.
Biden could have done the same exact thing when he took office, but he went in entirely the opposite direction, trying to jam all that EV shit down our throats. Thanks for thinking of us, Joe, you doddering old jackass.
PS - the average price of a gallon in the Land of Fruits and Nuts today is still well over $ 4.50. You can look it up.
In Trump's own words: 'Drill, baby - DRILL'...

Gas in Sacramento,CA was over $6 a gal. The Calif Air Resources Board has a lot to say about gas prices nationwide. Their latest moves will add 65 cents to next year. Every company that relies on vehicles has to pay more for fuel thereby raising prices to consumers. Your electric bill and trash bill will go up again because they have to pay more for gas. And the Pub Utilities will grant them rate increase again. They are deliberately forcing us into poverty. This bunch should never have been allowed to have this much power and CARB should be disbanded. They should also not be allowed to drive or own anything made from petroleum. That goes for this governor. Wake up California.
