Keep the thought about TNT (trinitrotoluene) in mind next time you see an over the top reaction to someone finding a small amount in some abandoned school chemistry lab, etc. Yes, it will go boom. Under very specific circumstances. It's also intensely yellow, though in general nitro compounds aren't very good for you so there are much safer yellow dyes. And it's bitter. (How do I know? I'm a chemist. We taste stuff.) Picric acid is the same deal. Very yellow, bitter as hell, goes boom only under specific circumstances (though much more likely than TNT if made into a metallic salt).
Naturally, Road Runners are immune.
