  1. Most of the overtime is earned in the last year before retirement as all money is the basis of their retirement bennies. That's why so many public figures such as LEO's, firefighters and the politicians transfer to some public job. University presidents play the game by abruptly resigning, start retirement pay and then stay on in as a interim official, as it takes more than a year to hire someone new, then they get their retirement pay adjusted (reg pay + retirement pay) and change states.   2. Probably bumping up the annual gross income for the last 2 years so the yearly pension will be calculated on the last couple of years gross. That's the way they do it Commie/Connecticut....
    Oh yea, plus the miles you drive with your own vehicle, and get paid for the mileage which is for the wear and tear on your personal ride, is added on to your pension calculation. Yea...that's not right. Pandering to the Unions.
