Gavin Newsom signed a series of “reparations” bills yesterday in Sacramento, including a formal apology for slavery, even though California entered the Union as a free state (that means 'no slaves' for those of you in Rio Linda) in 1850. What possible good could come from a kiss-ass move like this? 

We have become a nation of apologists. It's fuckin' ridiculous.

think my mother told me about this way back when. Evidently you could buy cigarettes from your hospital bed up until the mid 1950s. Anybody else ever heard of this? I know I've seen a buncha movies where a guy's laying in a bed all shot up or some shit and somebody hands 'em a lit smoke...
