Joe's saving the environment - one spork at a time...

President Biden announced the order taking aim at the “climate crisis” in July which would require an “all-hands-on-deck response” from every federal agency. “The President is committed to taking ambitious actions… to end plastic pollution and is calling upon the global community to do the same, with the goal to reduce the global production and consumption of virgin plastics,” the White House said.
As part of this plan, the White House announced a phase out of single-use plastics, which includes “plastic and polystyrene food and beverage containers, bottles, straws, cups, cutlery and disposable plastic bags.”
I'm happy to see that Joe is taking care of the really important shit before he fades into the sunset. The rest of this article is here.

  2. So no more designer water/soda/etc in plastic bottles, glass or cans only; all take-out on china plates (well, maybe cardboard) with metal implements. But ask for an exception because 'security' and no problem. Got it.

  3. So no more real meals on airplanes? Just sandwiches and bags of junk food.

  4. I thought Joe was NEVER going to get around to taking action on this threat. (eyeroll)
But I think it will be his legacy.

  7. Congress' in house chow lines and food delivery services will face fewer challenges than staff bringing flatware and knives through security.....unless - but of course - Congress exempts themselves.
