In 2023, New Jersey had the second-highest increase in home prices by dollar amount, with an average increase of around $34,283 from January to an estimated $495,469. This was behind Connecticut, which had a 9.56% increase, but ahead of Maine and New Hampshire, which had increases of 8% and 7.49%, respectively. This year New Jersey's rate of increase is higher than any other state.
