    If I looked up every early John Wayne movie and found Marsh Hunt, is that cheating?

    I think the actress is Margueritte Churchill, and the movie is The Big Trail, made in 1930. I looked it up on IMDB, so by your standards I might have cheated. If so, feel free to not post this comment.

    Marsha Hunt. That still was from the movie Born to the West, renamed Helltown. With John Wayne, obviously. 1937.
