Your post on slave populations got me to look up the U.S. slave population at its highest. There were about 59,000 in 1840 and only 37,000 by 1860, a 37% drop. Seems the "peculiar institution" was on its way out by the time the south succeeded.
Nifty how people want to give money to others that have never been a slave , steal it from people that never owned slaves and ignore slavery today. They're lunatics.
