WESH.com - In an unusual - but classic 'Florida Man' - incident on Thursday, deputies say 41-year-old Michael Ray Few forced his way into the Lake County Detention Center. Lake County deputies say it started Thursday night when a homeless man tried to force his way into the detention center, proving once again that homeless crack-heads do some seriously crazy shit when they're high.
It all ended with that man being shocked with a stun gun. The Lake County Sheriff's Office says around 9 p.m., Michael Ray Few could be seen on security cameras entering the jail's lobby and acting like he was hiding from someone and yelling someone was trying to kill him.
Few allegedly moved a metal detector and squeezed through a small opening leading into the jail's X-ray machine to bypass a secured door. Before entering another lobby that has restricted access, he's accused of damaging some computers along the way. When law enforcement officers confronted Few, he allegedly charged at them.
According to the officers, Few continued to resist and was tackled and ultimately shocked with a stun gun. While searching Few, officers say they found a meth pipe. Few was taken to AdventHealth Waterman for evaluation because of his mental state.
He now faces charges for burglary of an occupied structure, felony criminal mischief, battery on a law enforcement officer, and introducing contraband into a secured facility, with a total bond set at $27,000.
