Nine Philadelphia liquor stores will be closed for days or weeks as staff clean up the damage — and in some cases reevaluate security measures — after a series of nighttime break-ins and theft this week. Eighteen of the city’s 48 Fine Wine & Good Spirits locations were burglarized or robbed during the coordinated vandalism that hit several city neighborhoods overnight Tuesday.
At least one, the Adams Avenue location in Olney, was hit two nights in a row, with police reporting an early Thursday break-in there during which thieves shattered the windows and cleared out shelves.
After ALL city liquor stores were closed Wednesday, most locations planned to reopen about 11 a.m. yesterday, Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board spokesperson Shawn Kelly said. This item has not been updated, although city officials are claiming this 'rioting' (their words) are a result of protests against a decision a judge made about a cop shooting in the City.

ReplyDeleteyeah, saw some of this shit back with the trayon bullshit. and then ST.. George of dope show that is was okay to do this shit. so, why not ? I have no idea why anyone stays in any big blue city these days.
ReplyDeleteI left philly back in 2017 and never looked back except to laugh at the monkey shines that go on there anymore.
really, the city is dead. there are no factories left there. and stores where closing long before this shit.
the only thing keeping it going is the colleges there. fun fact. in 1992, the U of P had the 4th largest police force in the state ! no shit. they can't have mom and dad know that their special little kid will be mugged or raped
by the end of the first year there now, can we ? went to work at the VA in west philly in 2002. I found out that the
cops keep the crime stats held down low to keep the new kids coming in every year.
but really, if the parents knew just how bad it is, they never spend 50 grand a year to send their kids there.
but really, they do try to keep any crime on or around the schools quiet. and every punk and thug knows that college kids are easy pickings. I feel sorry for the kids as they have on idea what hell they are walking into there.

All liquor stores in PA are "State Stores." That is, the State Liquor Board owns and operates them. Since the state is run by the libtards, those "progressive" butt wipes are reaping what they have sown.
ReplyDeleteHalf the liquor stores in Memphis have a 4" bullet proof glass cage that the customer can request their booze of choice and the transaction is done through a bankers drawer.
