  1. Both Ketchup and Mustard, being strong vinegar-based condiments, can live on the counter for over a year, as long as it's below 85 degrees. Jeez, people.

    And Sesame, Vegetable and Olive Oils won't go rancid for a year after being opened if kept, again, under 85 degrees.

    Hell, you can keep butter on the counter and it not go rancid for weeks as long as you keep the house cooler than... 85 degrees.

    Put most sauces, like Worcestershire sauce or fish sauce or hot sauces, in the refrigerator and you can keep them for years and years.

    Same with jams and jellies, you can keep them for years in the fridge as long as you keep the lids on tight.

    Now this requires you to keep your fridge cold, not cool, cold, like stuff freezes if it's placed right next to the vent that blows cool air into the fridge. Keep your fridge on 'energy saving mode' where it barely keeps milk fresh for 4 days and, yeah, it will all go bad quickly.
