All of that different coverage is on just one subject, and that's just the tip of the iceberg. There are too many markets and too many news outlets trying to grab their share of whatever revenues are avilable to them in those markets. Take you local news for instance. If you live in any even small market area, you most likely have three different network affiliates all covering the same exact  stories at the same exact time. It's just too much. Not only is it overkill, it's becoming incomprehensible to people, because most people don't even know what they should and shouldn't know. Case in point - a guy shot a guy in Dallas last night. Why should I give a shit about that? Even most of the people in Dallas don't need to know about that. Juss' sayin'...

This is what I'm talking about. This is the front page of just one news site in just one market - a market that generates an enormous amount of news in and on itself, yet look at the divergency of the stories they feature up front. It's too much for the average pea-brained civilian to take in. 

That may explain why people know so much about so much but they don't understand the simplest things. I wonder what Kim Kardashian is wearing this morning - know what I mean?

I'd bet you damn near every fuckin' dime I've got that 99% of the people who live there don't even know there's a law - one that's on the books already - that basically shit-cans gas-powered vehicle in the State in the not-too-distant future. Over and over again you hear the old saying 'Be careful what you wish for' and yet they still elect these fuckin' jackwagons who create legislation so detrimental to their own beings and livelihoods.
