The news used to be about 'what happened'. Now it's about 'what may happen'. What happened?

I can't be the only one who's noticed this trend towards reporting on shit that may or may not happen...

This is a classic example of what I'm talking about. It's as if the loss of life - they're saying it could go as high as 1,000 deaths - and the destruction of so much property wasn't enough, these jerkoffs had to go out and project about something that no one actually gives a fuck about right now.
They could be reporting on rescue and recovery efforts, they could be finding and celebrating the heroes of this disaster, they could even be discussing recovery efforts if they really feel the need to project. Nah - fuck that - let's waste our time and energy postulating about the poor fish.
Dude - WTF? Juss' sayin'...

This is the article I cited here:

Over the last month and a half I have become a victim of a clever scam that started at the nearby ALDI's grocery store in our area. Don't be naive enough to think it couldn't happen to you or your friends. Here's how the scam works.

Two very good-looking 20-21 year-old girls of eastern European origin come over to your car as you are packing  your shopping into the trunk. They both start cleaning your windscreen, their breasts  almost falling out of their skimpy T- shirts.
When you thank them and offer them a tip, they'll say 'No' and instead they ask you for a lift to another supermarket, in my case, Walmart. You agree and they both get in the back seat.
On the way there, they start undressing, until they are both completely naked. Then, when you pull over to tell them to be cool, one of them climbs over into the front seat and starts crawling all over your lap, kissing you,  touching you intimately and  thrusting herself against you, while the other one steals your wallet!
I had my wallet stolen on July 4th, 9th, 10th, twice on the 15th, 17th, 20th, 24th and  29th. Also on August 1st, 4th, 6th, 9th and 10th and twice yesterday.
So please warn all the older guys you know to be on the lookout for this scam. The best times seem to be just before lunch and about 4:30 in the afternoon.
P.S. Walmart has cheap wallets on sale for $3.29 each but other wallets are $3.75 , look better and come in  packs of twelve!

I'm not convinced this is a good move on his part. Does he think that people will watch/listen to the interview instead of watching the debate? If that's so, that's purely an ego play on his part, and we all know how fuckin' huge that ego is. He should be on the stage talking strategy and policy with the people running against him. We sure as fuck don't need yet another interview with him...

Residents of Southern California are bracing for what could be a once-in-a-lifetime tropical storm landfall. Impacts from Hilary are likely to be highly disruptive, damaging and dangerous, AccuWeather meteorologists warn. Copious amounts of rain, in some places more than would normally fall over the entire year, will trigger tremendous flash flooding.

Supposedly, toilet paper wasn’t splinter free until the 1930’s.
I don't know if that's true or not, but the idea is certainly
cringe-worthy. Thanks for painting THAT picture.

Someone you know must have a birthday coming up.
How about this for a gift idea?

Didja ever wonder what happens to all of them
beat-to-fuck, old, torn dollar bills?

They have a serious procedure for disposing of older bills. I read the article and I'd have to believe that has to be one of the most depressing jobs in the world. Here's the article - it's actually quite informative:

I have no idea what this article was about nor did I have any
interest in reading it, but I do have a number of questions for that
website's graphics guy (or gal). First question would be
'What the fuck were you thinking?'

  1. Political debates are not debates. They're simply a chance for the politician to lie about giving a damn about the voters. As to the hurricane in California, all that water will be wasted and allowed to run into the ocean unimpeded and thus lost while the Central Valley dries up.

  2. Trump. Still better than the rest. Full stop.

  3. Personally, I think this is a good call on Trump's part. Tucker will do a good interview and Fox's only reasons for wanting him there are to bolster its ratings and to try to whittle away support from him. Here's a good take on the upcoming debate. https://twitter.com/PapiTrumpo/status/1691977164743184880

  4. Coral gonna get permanently killed to death cuzza the fire huh? Remember, the coral survived the Pearl Harbor attack and the millions of gallons of toxic liquid spilled during the attack. For the next 30 years or so no one knew or cared about all toxins routinely washed down the drains into the ocean, before concern for the environment swept the land. Human waste went in there too. The coral survived. This fire is nothing compared to what the coral has already been exposed to.

  5. A DWI in Jersey is cheap. If you get hit with DUI (.08% and higher) in GA it is going to cost about $10k plus any lawyer fees and you loose your driving privilege's for a year.
