It was basically a bicycle with a V8 engine strapped to it...


This bike was built and driven - at 136mph - in 1907 
by Glenn Curtiss. The guy was probably a 
lot of fun to have a coupla beers with.

    1. I have been to Glenn Hammond Curtiss museaum. It is in Hammondsport, NY at the southern tip of Keuka Lake. We hang out on this lake a lot during the summer. GHC did the whole motorcycle thing before he was BIG into early aviation. Fascinating history.
