  1. weird, back in philly was I was a kid there where 2-3 good supermarkets inside of walking distance, say 1/4-1/2 mile. now in the 1990-2000. there is one. and it ended up as a fort. really, they went to one door. more armed guards and bag checks. didn't help. knew a guy who worked there and he told me the word was once they start losing 5 grand a month. the store will close. it did in 2010. I have seen people walking around the store eating food and dumping the wrappers anywhere. grab a milk or OJ and just start drinking it. when they done, they put it anywhere. left philly in 2018 and never looked back. the place is dead. there are no jobs to speak of. unless it a guard job at one of the hospitals or big schools. that is another thing you don't hear about crimes against the collage kids. most of the big schools have their own POLICE force. they have too. the u of Penn is the 4th largest in the state. and then there is Temple and Jeff. they don't want it known that the kids there will be a victim of crime while the parents are spending up to 50 grand a year there. damn shame as it used to be a great city

  2. I've got an idea. Bring back cashiers who do the checking out. Most of those of us who are honest don't want to be doing your work (with no reduction of cost) for you anyway.

  3. I don't think people are stealing- I just figure that the management of the company; gave me a job, with no pay, with no formal training, and expect me to operate strange machines with zero errors is just waaaay above my pay grade.
