On Tuesday, Oakland’s city council unanimously agreed to name a part of a city street after the rapper, who called the city home in the early 1990s.
Born In New York and raised in Baltimore, his mother moved them to a nearby town when he was a teen. He lived in Oakland for less than a year.
I wonder if Baltimore and the Big Apple will follow suit...
As regards "Streets to avoid if you're white"goes, I wonder if Tupac Shakur Way" is the new "MLK Boulevard."

ReplyDeleteI lived on the corner of 92nd Ave and Bancroft in Oakland. I was part of the VFW... Very few whites. I went to E. Morris Cox school.
