Poland wants to send fighter jets to Ukraine to help snuff out the Russian threat to their country - you know, the country right next to them on the map.
Being members of the EU, however, they could not act unilaterally to do so - they had to get permissin from other countries first.
The German government has finally approved Poland’s request to transfer five Soviet-designed MiG-29 fighter jets to help Ukraine defend against the Russian invasion. “I welcome the fact that we in the federal government have reached this decision together,” Defence Minister Boris Pistorius said.
Fuck that and fuck them - do what you need to do to help perserve your own independence. The Germans aren't doing dick to help Ukraine.
That's because these MiGs were a German donation in the 90s. EU is fucked up for other reasons.
