 It's called an 'Italian Hotdog'...  

And if you've never had one, well, I juss' feel sorry for yuz, cuz.

There's a recipe for them on the link below, but forget about that hot dog roll. If you can't find (or make) pizza bread (bread made from pizza dough - for you people in Iowa who probably wouldn't know a good italian bread if I wacked 'em in the head with a loaf), just go with a good hard-crusted italian or french bread. 

Also, forget about whatever that white creamy shit is on top of it in the picture there. These dogs are only served one way - mustard on one side, ketchup on the other:

Buff's was right around the corner from where I usta live in West Orange. The smell coming outta this place'd give ya a friggin' boner - I swear to god. Juss' sayin'...
