My Mother and Father - before they got married and after he got out of the Navy after the war - in the driveway of the house I grew up in in Newark, NJ. My grandfather bought that house in '39 when he was transferred there by his company - he was a draftsman/engineer who designed bombs. Today would have been my Mom's 100th birthday...

Freiberger Lebensmittel GmbH, a producer of frozen food products in Germany, is launching a new “Pizzatainment” line of frozen pizzas adorned with entertainment figure. And the first figures adorning the boxes are none other than Mario, Luigi, and their wicked counterparts Wario and Waluigi.
This is a product that went 100% full cycle. The original Mario and Luigi supposedly ran a pizzeria somewhere in Washington State, and they were the inspiration for the Nintendo game character.

It was just a matter of time, wasn't it...

I'm sorry, but I'm just a little too  much of an old-school stoner to even grasp this concept.
This is a machine they're calling ACE, purported to be the world’s very first fully Automated Cannabis Experience. You'll find it at a Mississippi Ave location in Aurora, Colorado.
ACE is the first-of-its-kind automated cannabis vending kiosk on the market that is able to fully package, live label and dispense cannabis products 100% compliantly. It is described by the owners as 'the perfect option for consumers who know exactly what they want to purchase while making life easier for budtenders who can focus on customers who need more attention'!

Yeah - nah. Thanks anyway but I'll pass.

I long for the days when advertising was an art - and a science.
I don't have a friggin' clue what it is now...

That's great artwork. This is a poster for Amtrak that didn't have to say a thing about what it had to sell or where it went.
The days of great advertising are long since gone.
Case in point? The Limu Emu

Okay - you've seen them on TV. Can any of you tell me what the holy fuck these exercises in stupidity have to do with buying insurance? Are consumers that gullible - and that fuckin' stupid - that this kind of nonsensical bullshit is capable of driving a product to them? If it is, I swear to god I will never buy anything that I see advertised ever again, for fear of being thought of as one of 'them' - whoever they are. Juss' sayin'...

Just a quick comment about comments.
I dig the shit out of the fact that you guys like to chime in on the crap I put up here. It makes this whole thing a little more worthwhile, and gives it a kinda back-and-forth vibe that's kinda cool...
Keep 'em coming, guys. Even though I myself don't always respond, you give other readers  a chance to toss in their two sense (get the pun here?), and when that kinda inter-connectivity happens, it makes everything I do here more satisfying. Well played, people...

PS: I had no idea until right after I wrote that that there's actually a science to commenting on blog posts. Of course there is - people can brainfuck anything and usually do it to everything, don't they? Check this out:
