Florida Man says he's sorry - he'll put all the shit back...

The Marion County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 22-year-old man after he was accused of stealing over $1,000 worth of items from a construction site in Ocala.
On Sunday, January 1, an MCSO deputy responded to the 2900 block of SW 165th Street Road in Ocala in reference to a residential burglary that was in progress. A male victim had contacted the sheriff’s office to advise that a silver sedan was currently parked in front of his residence, which is under construction.
The victim advised that he was watching video surveillance footage and observed a white male suspect entering the residence through the garage.
Upon arrival at the victim’s home, the deputy observed a silver car that was parked approximately five feet away from the front door. The deputy made contact with a man, identified as Dustin Mitchell Box, who was sitting on the ground near the vehicle’s rear passenger tire, according to the MCSO report.
When asked if anyone was with him, Box stated that he was alone, and the deputy detained him in handcuffs. After Box was placed into the back of the patrol vehicle, he told the deputy that he is currently “broke” and in the process of remodeling his home.
Box told the deputy that he was grabbing a few boxes of flooring from the incident location so he could “go home and finish his (expletive).” The deputy looked through the windows of Box’s vehicle and observed a large bucket and multiple boxes that appeared to contain flooring, according to the MCSO report.
The deputy called the victim who advised that Box’s vehicle had been parked outside the residence for several hours. In the MCSO report, the deputy noted that a ‘No Trespassing’ sign was clearly posted at the construction site.
After being read his Miranda rights, Box invoked his right to remain silent, but he continued to speak to the deputy, according to the MCSO report. The deputy advised Box that no further questions would be asked regarding the incident.

Box told the deputy that he “already knew it was wrong” to take the items from the construction site, and he added that he would “gladly put every one of them back.”
The deputy noted in the MCSO report that a key was found inside the front door’s keyhole, which had been used to unlock the residence. The victim told the deputy that the key was supposed to be secured in a lock box that was attached to the front door. MCSO did not observe any signs of forced entry, and the deputy overheard Box state that the victim’s home was “all unlocked.”

  1. Of course he looks SAD. He wishes he was in some democrat state where the police would help him load his loot.
