Despite Republican leaders branding him a 'disaster' after the party's woeful midterm election results last week, Donald Trump's supporters remain desperate for him to announce his plans to run for president again in 2024. Trump has invited reporters to a 'Special Announcement' at his Mar-a-Lago club tomorrow at 9 p.m., with many expecting the former president to announce that he will enter the race for a second term in the Oval Office. Some advisers have urged Trump to delay his planned announcement until after the December 6 Senate runoff election in Georgia that to avoid turning the race into a referendum on him. But among his most ardent supporters in the more rural regions in southern America - including North and South Carolina (where Trump-endorsed senators were elected in the Midterms), and Virginia - excitement is building that Trump will make the big announcement. They're right. It's all Trump's fault. Never mind that Mitch McConnell pulled funding from Trump endorsed candidates and spent money defeating a republican in Alaska. Of course, if I was on the swamp gravy train, I wouldn't want someone who wants to end corruption winning. The thinking is better to be in the minority and make a personal fortune than be in the majority and have the checks stop flowing.
