Changing the clocks is a pain in the ass, so why do we do it?

Twice a year we go through this same bullshit. It's time for this time change nonsense to stop. Pick one or the other and get it over with...

In 2018, Florida legislators became the first to pass a bill that would make daylight saving permanent in the state as soon as the federal government also approved the measure.
Florida Republican Sen. Marco Rubio sponsored the Sunshine Protection Act, which would make daylight saving time permanent for the entire country.

I've said it before and I'll keep saying it until somebody does something somewhere. The kids ain't milkin' the cows or plowing the north 40 before school. Enough is enough.

When I lived on St. John (US Virgin Islands) we didn't have to change the clocks - the time remained constant throughout the year. If it's good enough for one of our territories, why not here? Here's an article that (sort of) explains who wants what where:

If you missed CBS Sunday Morning yesterday they did an interview with Sly Stallone that centered on the fact that he had had a stroke at a younger age and yet was able to go on to such great successes in his life. How fuckin' unveiled is that message for the state of Pennsyltucky? They do shit like this and think we don't know what's going on? Gimme a muthafuckin'break...

By the way, if you didn't hear, the employees at that Home Depot
in Philly rejected the union. It turns out it wasn't the employees who started all that bullshit - it was an outsider union organizer who basically barged in to the scene and tried to fuck with the workers. I hope they kicked his ass on his way out the door.

Here ya go - even after you read this article you won't figure out how sinking and rising are the same thing. Brilliant journalism it certainly isn't, but they do have an agenda, don't they:

I thought you should know about this only because it may be the single best example of over-reach I've ever heard of. What does it mean when they say 'Your reach exceeds your grasp'?

$ 1,000,000.00 to the first person who can explain
what the fuck he's talking about here:

Biden, who hasn’t been doing much midterm campaigning, was among other Democratic heavyweights who have tried to come to Hochul’s rescue in the past week as Zeldin catches up to her in polls. “No more drilling,” Biden snapped at a climate protester who was heckling him.
“There is no more drilling. I haven’t formed any new drilling,” Biden said incredulously. A confused Biden tried to assuage the protester and return back to his speech. Biden and Hochul appeared at Sarah Lawrence College in a rally attended by hundreds, where Biden at one point stumbled on the stage and appeared to lose his footing. “Whoops,” he said as he recovered his stance.

I seriously don't know if this is such a good idea - especially for stoners...

  1. The rest of the world and Arizona seem to get along without changing the clocks.
