A perfect example of why concealed Carry is a good idea - even in Chicago...

A customer with a concealed carry license shot and killed a man trying to rob a grocery store in South Shore Friday night. A beloved store clerk has also died from his injuries following the shooting.
The shooting took place at the El Barakah Supermarket on 73rd Street off South Shore Drive, on the ground floor of the 7300 Venture Apartments building. A man attempted to rob the supermarket at gunpoint right before closing time around 6:20 p.m., according to Chicago Police.
The robber pointed the gun at the 64-year-old clerk who is also believed to be the owner of the store, police said. The robber was in turn met by a third man – a customer – who had a Firearm Owners Identification card and a concealed carry license, police said.
It was not clear who fired shots first. Witnesses said they heard two shots, a pause, then two more shots – four shots fired in all. Police said when all the shots were finished, the robber was shot in the chest and ran out of the store. He later dropped to the ground and died.
Meanwhile, the clerk was shot in the chest and back by the bad guy and was later pronounced dead.

So the legal gun carrier was able to shoot and kill the bad guy but couldn't save the store owner. The point to be made is that at least one bad guy is off the streets. Maybe if more people in places like Chicago and New York and LA could carry their own weapons, maybe - just maybe - there'd be a lot less bad guys around. Juss' sayin'...

Jeff Bezos has announced he will give away most of his $124billion fortune to charities fighting climate change - adding that philanthropy is 'very hard'. The Amazon founder said he wants to support people who can unify humanity and heal deep social and political divisions. He did not give any details about the exact charities he will donate to or how much he will give or when during an interview with CNN. Sitting alongside his new girlfriend Lauren Sanchez, he said they are 'building the capacity to be able to give away this money'. Bezos confirmed that he will donate most of his wealth during his lifetime, saying: 'The hard part is figuring out how to do it in a levered way. It's not easy, building Amazon was not easy. 'It took a lot of hard work, a bunch of very smart teammates and I'm finding that philanthropy is very similar - it's not easy it's very hard. 'We are building the capacity to being able to give away this money. There are a bunch of ways that I think you could do ineffective things, too. 'So you have to think about it carefully and you have to have brilliant people on the team.'
Good for you Jeff. Well played...

After my doctors (and probably yours also) have been telling me for 40 years to take this shit, they come out with new research from the University of Missouri in the U.S. that's found that common vitamin B3 dietary supplements can increase the risk of serious disease, including developing cancer.
While previous studies have linked commercial dietary supplements like nicotinamide riboside (NR), a form of vitamin B3, to benefits related to cardiovascular, metabolic and neurological health, new research has warned against its arbitrary use.

Without fail, the vice president’s name comes up first when Biden’s name is taken out of the running. While Harris had a rocky start as vice president and continues to garner low approval ratings, Democrats say she would still be the go-to if Biden decided not to run again.
Like Biden, Harris benefits from the results of the midterms, strategists say. But at the same time, others continue to worry she hasn’t had a strong enough portfolio and platform as vice president.
“I think if she ran, she would be challenged by other Democrats,” one strategist said. “There are lots of people who still think she wouldn’t beat a Trump or DeSantis.” Still, Harris is clearly the favorite to be the Democratic standard-bearer after Biden, and the midterm results only strengthened her.

  1. FU Jeff Bezos. Why allow him to dodge taxes with charitable contributions to commie "environmental" groups that want to destroy our economy? Better if it could just be swept back into the US Treasury to pay off a couple of hours of national debt interest.

  2. Chappelle's monologue was brutally good. The wrap-up punch line at the and about Kanye was perfectly delivered. A+
