The difference between cats and dogs...

There is one difference between cats and dogs that explains everything you'll ever need to know about them...
I've used this metaphor before to describe the difference between the useless helpers I've hired here in Florida and guys who used to work for me back in Jersey.

If you point at something, a dog will instinctively look at what you're pointing at.  A cat won't even look at your hand. That explains why I work by myself all of the time anymore. The best helpers you can find here in Florida are all basically cats. Capeesh?

Even Forbes agrees that  not only is it wrong-headed and blatantly political gamesmanship, it's just fuckin' wrong to do it. Take a look at this article:

The White House is preparing to announce a student loan relief plan as early as  this morning that would forgive up to $10,000 for some borrowers and further extend the current freeze on loan repayment, according to several people familiar with the plan.
The details of this ridiculously political vote-grabbing plan remain in flux amid a frenzied, last-minute internal debate over how to structure the policy, and whether or not it's even legal for him to do it.
The White House has focused on canceling $10,000 for borrowers who make $125,000 or less annually, which would fully erase the student debt for millions of Americans with degrees in 16th century English literature and Art history majors.
He couldn't give a fuck about middle-class families struggling with mortgage issues, does he?

Talk about a good investment. On January 3, 1973, a 12-member group headed by George Steinbrenner purchased the New York Yankees for $10 million from Columbia Broadcasting System, which owned the team since 1964. Of course, the Yankees sucked in those days and no one was going to games, but George and his buddies saw what the CBS people couldn't see - the future. The group that took over the team included CBS's Yankees president Michael Burke, who briefly served in that role under Steinbrenner. It was Burke - as an insider at CBS - who brought the idea to his friend George.
That valuation today equates to a 6,000% return on the initial purchase price.

I guess the size of her tits didn't factor in to the primary race. There's a joke in there somewhere, but I'm not going there...

Insects can be turned into meat-like flavors, helping provide a more environmentally friendly alternative to traditional meat options, scientists have discovered.
Mealworms, the larval form of the yellow mealworm beetle, have been cooked with sugar by researchers who found that the result is a meat-like flavoring that could one day be used on convenience food as a source of protein.
While mealworms have until now mostly been used as snacks for pets or as bait while fishing, they have potential as a food source for humans to help get the recognizable flavors of meat without the harmful impacts upon the climate, as well as direct air and water pollution, of raising beef, pork and other animal-based foods.
“Insects are a nutritious and healthy food source with high amounts of fatty acids, vitamins, minerals, fiber and high-quality protein, which is like that of meat,” says In Hee Cho, a researcher at Wonkwang University in South Korea who led the study.
Was there any doubt about where this 'research' took place?

These people do not know the meaning of the word 'shame'. The trailer for Hillary Clinton's new Apple TV+ show, Gutsy, shows the former Secretary of State being asked about her 'gutsy' decision to stay married to Bill, despite his repeated infidelities. Clinton, 74, is shown in the clip in conversation with Reverend Whittney Ijanaten, a UCLA chaplain and wedding officiant, who specializes in LGBTQ marriages. Ijanaten remarks: 'You have a marriage that has been on public display since the beginning. You said the gutsiest thing you ever did was stay in your marriage.' Clinton, who married Bill in 1975 and stood by him through multiple affairs - most notoriously that with Monica Lewinsky,

which began in 1995 - agrees that staying with him was 'gutsy'. But, she adds: 'That doesn't mean that's right for everybody.' The series is out on September 9. I'm sure six or seven people out there are chomping at the bit to see this.

While primary elections occurred in Florida, New York, and Oklahoma Tuesday, Florida has general elections for school boards, meaning the winners will be the official members of the boards.
Many of the winning candidates have been endorsed by the 1776 Project PAC, an organization that has been instrumental in flipping school boards from liberal to conservative across the country.
“We saw massive election victories all throughout the state of Florida tonight,” 1776 Project PAC founder Ryan Girdusky told Breitbart News Tuesday. “It shows the desire of parents and residents across the country for some normalcy in our education system, and that means pushing against transgender ideology, critical race theory, critical gender ideology, and equity which destroys merit in education.”

  1. Most of the protein content of insects is in chitin - the material that forms their exoskeleton . Unfortunately , chitin is indigestible by humans , so producing the "usable" protein derived from bugs is hardly more efficient than that derived from chickens or pigs .
I know which I'd prefer to snack on .
