Dealing with inflation .... I'll bet that going out and buying a different car for better gas mileage takes a long time to hit the break even point, I haven't done any math, just a wild ass guess.
ReplyDeleteShopping for best gas prices. I use gasbuddy.com and these days I look for a price range, I'm not going to go out of my way to save 2 pennies a gallon but I will if the price difference puts folding money back in my pocket.
I do remember 1973 and the hand lettered "No Gas" signs on stations...
I'd think that you could save enough by dropping Starbucks to cover a once a month pizza out night! But that's another WAG on my part...
We're retired in Texas & haven't given up shit. Just pay a little more for the same things, but gas $$$ go primarily to travel.
